Dr. Dangaltcheva has a warm and gentle style and approaches each session in a flexible and collaborative manner. She has been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT). She also incorporates Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) strategies. Her strong background in attachment research further informs her practice.
More information regarding these approaches is included below:

CBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps young people with low mood and anxiety by teaching them ways to identify and manage their feelings, challenge their thoughts, and engage in new or different behaviour.

TF-CBT
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) helps clients process traumatic experiences and learn ways to minimize the impact of trauma in their lives.

Attachment
An attachment approach can help parents understand their teen’s behaviour and learn new ways to respond to their teen’s needs while setting limits, in order to strengthen the parent-teen relationship.
